They say that the most beautiful view of the world is from a horse's saddle. And we add that the most beautiful view of Trenčín castle is from the boat on Váha. The waves crash into the vessel, rocking it pleasantly, and you discover that Matúš Čák's residence suddenly has a completely different dimension. If you want to experience it and see it yourself, a tourist cruise ship is the right tip.

The season starts already in May. An unforgettable experience, thanks to which you will get to know Trenčín from a different perspective, will be provided by the captain of the Xénia ship, Branislav Zápeca. If "all devils don't marry", the ship can set sail for a new, unique adventure. Strong wind and lightning put a stop to the voyage.

"Visitors even enjoy the pleasant summer rain. As one group of tourists told us during such a rainy cruise, everyone prefers sunny weather, but this is also an adrenaline rush for us," recalled boatwoman Michaela Gallová. Last season they started every Saturday and Sunday at 16.00.

"Those interested should register for the cruise in advance so that if the capacity is full, they do not needlessly wait on the shore. We always recommend making an appointment. In the event of a change in weather, we can contact people back and move the reservation," explained Michaela from Trenčín Sightseeing Cruises. According to the crew, nobody is ever bored on the Xénia ship.

Children are fascinated by the ship itself, they watch the voyage, they can even try tying ship knots and other activities connected with water and ship themes. "During the cruise, we will also familiarize you with the history of the city on Váh, with the surrounding nature, and tell you about the power plant and the bridges we pass under. A sightseeing cruise along Trenčín's Váh takes about an hour. It starts in Prístavisk behind the indoor swimming pool. At the hydroelectric power plant, the ship turns and sails to the hut in Biskupice around the protected area. On the return trip, we will also go to the old bed of the Váh," described the route of the ten-kilometer cruise, captain Braňo and boatwoman Michaela. Both confirm our opening words that the view of Trenčín Castle is different from the water. Although no one knows what it is, its charm is multiplied at sunset, when the castle walls are reflected on the surface of the river.
