Since January, spectators have been able to watch the chilling story of tourists on cinema screens, who wanted to find out whether the talk about strange disappearances and supernatural phenomena in Tribeč is true. This phenomenon has been speculated about for a long time. Tribeč is even described by some as the Slovak Bermuda Triangle. However, according to those who know the forests well, they are wrong.

Forester Štefan Šamšala, Mária Šlajzerová or Antonín Topil - these are the names of people who were supposed to get lost in the forests of Tribeč. An exception is Walter Fischer, who found himself after a few months. However, he was in such a bad physical and especially mental state that he finally died in an institution for the mentally ill. It was his story that became the starting point in the novel Trhlina. The book also fell into the hands of the staff of the Ponitrie Protected Landscape Area. "We did not address this issue before the book was published. I personally had no information about these facts. After the publication of the novel, it was read by several employees of our administration, including me, as part of the Tribeč mountain range is part of the Ponitrie Protected Landscape Area and several places mentioned in the novel are familiar to us, "said the head of the administration Radimír Siklienka. In the past, he himself spent the night in Tribeč and still spends quite a lot of time there - whether in the performance of official duties or within his free time. "I have no negative experiences from staying in the Tribeč mountains. Nevertheless, I do not rule out the possibility of losing orientation in case of bad weather or during the night, "he stated.

Although Trhlina aroused the public's interest in Tribeč, they did not notice an enormous increase in the number of tourists here. However, if you decide to go to the mountains, prepare for a pleasant experience - a well-established network of hiking trails, less demanding hikers and especially a room that you can discover only in the middle of the mountains.
