Prievidza Airport is a public international airport that is included in the public transport infrastructure. It is situated in the beautiful Hornonitrian basin between Prievidza and Bojnice with unobstructed views of the Bojnice Castle .

The airport is currently being used mainly for the following purposes:

• Aviation tourism
• Flight training
• Aviation sport
• Landing activities
• Business trip to the business community
• Mass cultural and social events
• National and international aviation sports events at the highest level
• Development, production and service of aircraft and aircraft

It is the home airport for nearly thirty private and corporate airlines.

AEROKLUB PRIEVIDZA

It was founded in 1950 and today it is a civic association . Its mission is to broaden and deepen interest in aerospace in the general public, to promote aviation tourism and the impact of club life on the development of human personality, family and youth.

In our airship parachutists have been out of their minds. In the past, the members of the parade took part in competitions not only on domestic - Czechoslovak soil but also abroad, gaining experience and success.

Flying on an airplane opens up an unprecedented opportunity to look from the birds' perspective to places you would hardly visit in one day from the land, allowing you to experience an unforgettable view of our country.

Flying on a glider . Sailing brings the same award to each pilot. A silent and elegant flight as close to a bird as it can only be a human being. For many pilots, it will become a sport for life.

Organizing various interesting events for the public - Aviation Sporting Events , Police Day , Sharkansa , Music Festivals

ACCOMMODATION - the airport offers the possibility of high quality accommodation:

- 3 holiday chalets with a capacity of 5 persons / cottage with equipped kitchen, bedroom and living room, bathroom and toilet

- dormitory in the main building - 3-bed rooms with an extra bed, together 16 beds with the character of a tourist hostel

- camping - there is also the possibility of camping in the AK area. In the camp are available newly built sanitary facilities, toilet, showers, laundry, playground and track golf.

CATERING - AEROREST restaurant with an excellent offer and organizing various events can be found in the airport area.
