If the weather permits and we focus on sight, Krivan is a small carp in the distance. With good will, we will also see a part of the Great Fatra. On the black hill under the shelter for comfort and discomfort we contemplate the beautiful gifts of nature. There, under the shelter of a wooden cross, is one who has the gifts of conscience.
SPORT AND RELAX
Ski resort Závada under Čierny vrch is situated in the southern part of Strážovské vrchy on the southeast slopes of the Kamenná vrta hill - Kajtárové meadows. The area lies at an altitude of 560 - 760m above sea level and its dominant is Čierny vrch. Ski resort Ski park The fault belongs to smaller resorts. It is equipped with two lifts and skis with light on natural snow. The long lift is double-cranked and its inclined length is 1010m and overcomes the elevation of 200m. The resort has two downhill tracks 1,000 meters long without marking. Sloping difficulty will suit the more advanced skier. The upper section is demanding, the medium stretch is medium and the lower section of the slopes is unpretentious. The trails leave from the top station of the tow and lead to the left side of the wide meadow of Kajtar. Both branches at the bottom of the valley station lead through a wide slalom slope. The track of the slopes is positively laid, but dependent on natural snow. Skiing is usually possible from December to March. Small snacks are provided in the resort. You can stay in Chate under the Black Mountain, which is built at the lower lifts station.
The junction of the Ján Kušnier Memorial is regularly held here. Cross-country trails lead to Závada under Čierny vrch to Uhrovský Podhradie, where the length of the route is 30 km and part of the Nitra Mountains.
Hiking trails lead from Kšinná to Nitra (11.5 km) or Čierny vrch (5.4 km). For well-traveled tourists there is prepared the tourist path Ľ. Stur and A. Dubcek are 34km long. The starting point is Uhrovec and the end point is "Cottage Homôlka". Cycling routes from Duchonka via Kulháň, Nemečky, Prašivec, Tvrdomestice, Jacovce, Tezare and Závada return to Duchonka (35km) and Prievidze, via Bojnice, Kamienka, Šútovce, Dlžín, Kostolná Ves, Nitrianske Rudno do Kšinnej.
In the vicinity of Ski Park Závada under Čierny vrch there are many interesting places to visit and see - the medieval church in Kšinná, Rokoš Hill, Slopský vrch, ruins of Uhrovec Castle, native house Ľ. Stur and A. Dubcek in Uhrov, Jankov Vršok, dam Nitrianske Rudno and others.
SINGLE BEAUTY

SALAŠ V KOTELOVÉ CHATÁŘE - ZÁVADA POD ČIERNYM VRCHOM
Salaš is surrounded on one side by a forest, and the second one opens a view of a herd of grazing sheep on the Sharjah meadows. At the chalets you can see the living room, the sheepskin and the kolibu. At the colibe you can sit, enjoy the sheep's products and watch the old dwellings, valleys, meadows and forests of the Strážovské vrchy.
JANKOV VŔŠOK
Above the village of Uhrovec up to the height of 533 meters above sea level the famous Jankov hill belonging to the mountain Strazovské vrchy. Its top is decorated with a 15-meter tall monument dedicated to partisans who died during World War II. Near the monument are the symbolic tombs of the partisans, the natural amphitheater and several bunkers from the time of World War II. A magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding area opens up.
It is said that the treasure of Janek, one of the members of the Jánošík company, was hiding under the curve of a plan of apple tree.
ZRUCANE OF HRAD UHROVEC
The ruin of the castle turns off at a height of 519 meters above sea level on the side ridge of the Nitriansky vrchy, near the village Uhrovské Podhradie in the heavily accessible terrain. It is a late-Roman castle. During the renaissance period, the castle stood by the sides of major battlefields, swept away Turkish disasters and internal unrest. Since the 18th century, no owner has moved to the castle, and the castle has been flooded and changed to ruin.
