Sports stadiums managed by the Technical Services of Prievidza sro also include a winter stadium. The stadium serves mainly for public skating, ice hockey for unregistered players and a training process, competitions at national as well as international level. The ice stadium creates conditions for the development of physical culture in the Prievidz region, its activities focus mainly on youth sport. The winter stadium attracts not only domestic visitors and sports clubs but also foreign clubs.

The dimensions of the ice surface are 60 mx 30 m. Capacity is 2 788 seats. The stadium is a suitable venue for sporting events, exhibitions and cultural events. The ice area is used approximately 7 - 8 months in the year, which is around 3 180 to 3 645 hours per year.

In-line area

In-line area is located in the Prievidza winter stadium. It is a playground with a plastic floor that is designed for the following sports: in-line hockey, in-line skating, floorball, hockeyball. The content of the activity of the in-line area is the spontaneous acquisition of basic games, the operation of several types of sport based on the principle of competition - the training of sports clubs, interest groups, citizens in public skating or employees during sports days, etc.

The in-line area is operated annually from May to July.
