The library in Považská Bystrica began writing its history in 1925, but it received much of its present address much later. Perseverance and the desire to spread love to the books has brought it through uncertain beginnings, unstable address, and lack of finances. The Považská Library was not here until 1977, and it was quickly settled on Štúrová Street and it grew blossomed. Gradually, the music department, videorecorder, independent bibliographic department joined the bookshelves. There was a book reporter, literary creativity competitions and a reading room. The area has also received goodwill by establishing a library for disabled people in 1994 and setting up a branch of the Central Library for the Blind and the Blind. A few years later, she received an award for active activity, as well as the Prize of the Mayor of the city.
Old New Wall
