Malebnáobec Poruba lies about 13 kilometers from the district town of Prievidza.
In the fortified area of the elevated position, there is the National Cultural Monument, the Roman Catholic Church of Sts. Nicholas the Bishop. It comes in the course of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. This rangothic single-centenary church with a quadratic presbytery, northern sacristy, and the western pre-scene is adorned from a distance by a well-visible, striking, onion-like western sky tower.
As part of the restoration of the early 15th century, interior decorations have been decorated with frescoes. The ship was given a painted cassette ceiling during the 17th century. A remarkable element of the interior was the Lennestian-Renaissance painted ceiling of the ship in 1658. In addition to the rich plant decoration, the painter also portrayed the characters of the four evangelists around Jesus as the World's Savior. On the right side of the winning arc was preserved a Renaissance stone pulpit from 1633. In 1660, the Protestant Church took over, adding it to a wooden tribune. The present main baroque altar with a painting. Nicholas is from 1701.
Today's image acquired an object during the last century, when a gradually added roof before the western entrance and lateral spaces at the tower.
