The modern temple is not a pair

Even in the 2nd World War - literally on the "green meadow" - they started to build a new town Baťovany (later Partizánske). This new city helped to form the key element of the Zlín architecture, Vladimír Karfík. The most glorious building of the New Year was and still is the Roman Catholic Church of the Divine Heart of Jesus. Just a church you have not seen!

ConstructionThe church of the Divine Heart of Jesus was commissioned in 1942 by the Roman Catholic community and the building was entrusted to Baťa, as Šimonovany. The city's complete completion of the urban design was still missing by the square's dominant.

The leopard-lighted church with clean lines forms a one-space long and high space with pillar columns lined with pink marble. The church was built and installed by Baťa in Pravence. The interior of the temple is decorated with reliefs by the sculptor Tibor Bártfaya. His part is the presbytery - the mighty marble cross, Christ with the hands of the advantast of the apostles. Bertfay's work in the church is also 14 large embossments of the cross, the statue of the Virgin Mary in the Lourdes cave, the reliefs of the Holy Land, and the four evangelists at the entrance to the church. The same is the number of blessed Virgin Mary, St. Štefan, sv. Joseph and St. Paul. Anton in a 43-meter-high church.
