Onion roofs in the Váh mirror
Just a short walk to the Nové Mesto nad Váhom - on the right bank of the river Váh - you can not miss a picturesque manor house with characteristic onion roofs on the four-aisled towers. This is a remarkable Renaissance manor house from the second half of the 17th century in Brunovce. A mansion surrounded by a park built the Berèéniovcina place of the original wooden hunting lodge. In the years 1695 - 1697, the manor-house mansion with a three-winged floor plan was added, supplemented after 1723 by the barrel towers. The vaults were closed by a strong wall.
A legend about the loyal servant of the last King of the Roman Castle, Mikuláš Berčéni, is connected to the Brunovce court. Upon the downfall of Rákoci's rebellion, Janko Seker was seized by Blanko Seker, who had disconnected and had to wait for the return of his commander Nicholas, who had decided to go to Theatin Castle first. The legend is a sad story of wisdom, war, and goodwill in service.
The noble mansion was originally fortified with valleys and surrounded by the pouring water of the Váhu. In the courtyard of the manor house is the Little Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. There is a baroque altar from around 1700 with the painting of the Assumption. Around the castle there is an English park from the end of the 18th century, the entrance gate to the park is situated at the end of the 18th century. John Nepomuk.
