The ossuary with a mysterious winning arc
The chapel creates a beautiful group of sacral architecture along the outskirts of Bojnice along with the parish church. They built it as a simple rectangular building sometime in the 14th century. According to the legend, her ossuary stood there. In the Middle Ages, the family of the Nofrians set it up as its funeral chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Zofia. Between 1550 and 1560, the building was rebuilt in Renaissance style. Perhaps the big winning arc on the west side was probably the place where the builder built the current Renaissance portal. Construction work was also carried out in the first quarter of the 18th century, when the chapel was baroque and received a new interior. At the same time, it was renamed the Chapel of Sts. Michal archanjela. From the baroque period, the windows in the southern and northern walls also originate, probably the new crypt before the chapel. Among the attractions of the interior are the Baroque altar and the tribune.
On the west side of the chapel, in the 20th century, an open half-circle hall with four pillars was built. In the 1950s, both the chapel and the parish church moved through a great renovation, in which they discovered a woven arc of victory. In front of the chapel there is an entrance to the grave crypt from 1700 until the end of the 19th century.
The reconstruction of the facades was completed in 2005, opening the Gothic window and the restored stone architectural articles of the chapel.
