Are you interested in wedding fashion and its development? In that case, be sure not to miss the unique exhibition at Trenčín Castle "Bride of the Past". The exhibition will be officially presented on July 1, 2022 at 4 p.m.

The exhibition "Bride of the Past" maps Czechoslovak women's wedding fashion through a central theme in which it captures the most characteristic cut lines, materials, fashion tendencies and phenomena of the period (1940-1993). The presented women's wedding dresses and costumes represent the brides fashion, which consisted of Czechoslovak fashion salons, national companies, production and art cooperatives and private tailors. This Czechoslovak fashion creation is complemented by imported models of wedding dresses. More than 150 exhibits of wedding dresses and accessories make up the largest Czechoslovak exhibition of women's wedding fashion in Slovakia.

The exhibition cooperation of the Trenčín Museum in Trenčín and the private collection of wedding clothes "Bride of the Past" is realized with the financial support of the SPP Foundation. The exhibition will be complemented by professional inspections and a seminar led by the owner of the collection and the curator of the exhibition Juraj Fura Jr.
