The first Saturday in June belonged to the third year of the Dohňany-Púchov Trophy Marathon cycling competition in the Epic Dohňany club complex. Jaroslav Baška, a mayor from Trenčín, accompanied a member of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region (TSK), Richard Takáč, also set out on a 40-kilometer track to test his biker skills on the sections of the well-known Púchovsky and Marikov marathons.

"In addition to supporting sports events, such as the cycling marathon in Dohňany, the Trenčín Region actively supports the construction of cycling routes on its territory. The largest project is the construction of a 100-kilometer Vážská cycle route, which, when completed, will connect three regions and provide the cycling public with the opportunity for active cycling. I am pleased that its two sections are already used not only by cyclists, but also by skaters, scooters and families with children, " said the chairman of TSK.

The organizers of the event also thought of the smallest ones, for whom a number of accompanying events were prepared during the Children's Day in the area of the Dohňany Epick Club. The braver ones could also compete on a bicycle, as part of the Children's Cycling Marathon.
