The popular cycling project Vrchárska koruna Trenčianska has successfully turned over in half, and those interested in the title of crown holder still have three months left.

Anyone who passes the prescribed twenty peaks by the end of November 2021 can become the holder of the crown, in one of three categories - VKT Bike, VKT Run & Walk & Dog and VKT handicap . Since the launch of the project, 37 cyclists have conquered twenty hills in the VKT Bike 2021 category. Among them is the mayor of Trenčín, Jaroslav Baška, who became the 31st holder of the crown. The fastest conqueror is Ivan Záhumenský and Milan Straka, the prescribed peaks were conquered on 6 May. In the VKT Run & Walk & Dog 2021 category, 12 tourists represent the boards of successful participants in the cycling project. For many years, the Trenčín self-governing region together with the regional tourism organization Trenčín region has been one of the partners of the Trenčín Highlands.
