Imagine an ideal summer day. In the morning, a hearty breakfast, water, a bumble bee, some sweets, a rabbit, the brave one of the plums and the sinking into nature.
You do not need a lot of hiking, high quality footwear and rucksack. You can also choose routes according to your physical options. Then there is the right educational trail and the beautiful nature that the Trencian region offers. That's how we got along with a bunch of tourists this past summer - great idea, great feeling. So, we offer several views collected from educational walkways. If you're smart, you can make two or three tours a day. I will find also persistent people who choose longer and more difficult walks. We were on the first walk last time on Skalke. This place of pilgrimage has fascinated us so much that we will certainly reiterate our visit. But fine.
Heating wheel
We cross the Massif of the White Carpathians over the river Váh. From the information boards, we learn why the educational walkway has actually been built, but also something about flora and fauna that complements the natural scenery. We receive valuable insights on the geography, geology and history of Little and Great Skalka. We took less than an hour at the hiking pace, that is, the walk through the chapel, Andreja-Svorada and Beňadika on Mala Skalke and finishes at the remains of the Benedictine monastery in Veľká Skalka. Here's an acurately warming wheel. We have exchanged Streda for several days for the upper Nitra. As soon as the sun went out over the horizon, we decided to make friends with the more demanding plan - to go to Handl in the footsteps of miners. The length of Banská náučný chodník is almost ten kilometers, we have hosted tourism all day long. The weather was like painted, the mood also. We started the route at the coal mining exhibition building of the Slovak Mining Museum and around the Robotnice House we got to Hunger Square - and we got a little bit out of the way. Nothing, behind the chapel we were waiting for the first relaxation zone. We also thrust the thimble into the abdomen of the tenth to strengthen and continue on the way to the second breathing zone. In order not to cry, we helped with the cup and the second leg during the tour. In addition to the wind jam, we went to the Old North Wind Jame - the former coal mine quarry of Constantine. We looked at it with a fish pond. We walked from there to the main entrance to Bane Handl. After seven hours, "working as miners", we expanded the condensate and knowledge of the history of mining, and the tour was completed at the museum where the trail ends.
To Škrtel's Birthplace
As we stayed in the upper Nitra for the entire weekend, we used the Sunday for another tourist experience. Remata has so far been eliminated mainly as a ski resort near Handlová and Ráztočno always connected with the birthplace of footballer Martin Škrtel. Now she has offered another, specific alternative - to take the route from Remata to Ráztočna as a tourist. We used it. We have warned in advance that it will be a tough vibrator, which can last for five hours. Finally, we managed to solve it in less than four. At a distance of 8.5 km, a good business card, especially when we had about 10 "kilos" on Saturday. And it did not hinder us to make a little bit of a trip. Basic coordinates of a pleasant trip? We started at Remate, reinforcing good food in the restaurant. From the railway station, it leads to the Bral rock on the Sklenice meadows. From there, gradually through Ráztočnianske lazy and descending to the village Ráztočno. On the way, we were attracted by two nature reserves - a cave. One carries the name Cave on the lazoch, but the house is called Egresovka, and the other is the Hájska cave.
Tourism and history
After a weekend in the countryside, we returned home tired but satisfied. There were a number of planned trips, not just tourist. "What about the sightseeing?" A member of our tourist party suggested. For the next weekend, we started a car from Trenčín to the opposite corner of the county - kicking. Our goal was the monster of Milan Rastislav Štefánik. We parked at the bus station in Brezova pod Bradlom, crossed the town, and after the twisted final phase of the route we reached the space directly in front of the Bradle mound. His gaze was breathtaking, on all four sides of the world. There was still some space in the parking lot, but we did not regret the hike. On the route, we were informed about Brezova pod Bradlom, but also about the architect Dušan Jurkovič, who created the mound. The charts depict and explain in detail the life of Milan Rastislav Štefánik, a giant of Slovak history. Whoever was miserable, he could buy a small present or professional literature about it here.
From the mound to the tasty goulash
The exit from the bus to the bus was faster than we expected. Probably because our musicians were already playing in our stomach. Getting into the car, moving twelve kilometers northern to the district town of Myjava, more precisely to its urban part of Turá Lúka. We arrived at the Gazdovský dvor restaurant, at the time of our visit the hosts offered a goulash of divine. He was so good we were wearing the plates. Walking along the informational sidewalk took half an hour, the tables were interesting about the establishment of the Turkish Meadow, about the general uprising and the crown, but also about important events and personalities from this area. The summer slowed to the second half, many people traveled to the Makarska Riviera, Bibione, the Greek Islands, and Spain. We stayed true to the tradition and enjoyed the beauty of the Trencin region until the end of the holidays. Another stop from the rich offer of hiking trails: Jozef Miloslav Hurban's Beekeeping Lesson, which we passed to Beckov Castle. The history of the ruins was spoken by local guides in historical suits, and the children enjoyed the demonstrations of fencing art. On the way we learned everything about bees and why the sidewalk got a name just after Hurban. Even on that day, we were from Beckov, of course by car, heading north to Považská Bystrica. Our goal was Považský Castle, of course, on foot. We had a start at the Burg mansion and after the exit we had an unprecedented view of the whole region. Real beauty!
Two paths to Baračka
The next morning Trenčianske Teplice, parking the car in the center of the spa town and a great tip for the next tour. We met a couple of Czech tourists arriving from Baracka. We did not need more. From the view of Jelena we traveled along the yellow mark along the southern slopes of the hill of Grófovec. Interesting about the views of Dedovec and Jelena were just the famous cherry on the cake. However, you can also use a different educational walkway on the same route, namely in Trenčiansko-teplické krasom. It starts at the center, continues to the spring of Michael, to the cave below Jelena, on the prospect of the same name, to the chapel, to the view of the White Rock, to the cross and around the sling to Henrich's spring and meet to Baračka. We chose a different one, but not a disciple.
In the final Tlstá hora
The conclusion of August also meant our summer vacation. We chose the Púchov district, the Púchov valley and the village of Dohňany. From this base point you can choose two tourist destinations. We chose to ride the Tri Rocks, which starts at Dohňany in the White Carpathian Mountains. We walked, but we were cycling. In winter, it is a popular cross country trail. After a hard road, we reached the wooden lookout on the hill of Tlstá hora, which is about 650 meters above sea level, and then to the three rocky formations Lazovská skala, Čertova skala and Vieska rock. From the lookout point, however, it is possible to get to Moravia to look out in the Hornolidečska region, but it is a long way to 35 km. Maybe sometimes, on bikes. So how did you choose? Did we insist on how to handle this year's tourist flight? There are dozens of routes available, you just have to choose ... As people are saying, we also have America at home. And we can even find it on our own ...
