Regional Tourism Organization The Trenčín Region, in cooperation with the Slovak Underground and the Secondary School in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, organized on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 an auxiliary brigade in Čachtice underground premises. Underground corridors are owned by the agricultural cooperative (PD) of Čachtice, which plans to make this mysterious and legendary garbage open to the public in the upcoming tourist season.

The young Čechtice volunteers from the association of lovers of Concordia history from Cachtice and members of the Slovakian Underground Czech Republic help the CS Čachtice representatives to facilitate the accessibility of the Čachtice underground. By self-help, they have already cleared 150 meters of underground passageways. Tuesday's brigade in the chaotic underground was attended by 13 students of the Secondary VŠS and 6 members of Concordia from the elementary school in Čachtice. "It's fun to discover new corridors and finds. Interesting for us was the appearance of the wall in the back of the underground, various objects and finds of coal, "said 12-year-old Damián Dasko, a member of the association of lovers of history.

Through joint work, the young brigadier managed to deliver more than 500 earthworms. In rooms cleaned of clay deposits there will be an exhibition mapping the life of Elisabeth Báthory. The biggest attraction will be the replica of the torture tool, an iron virgin, which, according to the legend, the "bloody broom" used to torture young girls right in these underground spaces. There will also be an exhibition of the Čachtic wine produced by the local agricultural cooperative. One of the most popular is a red wine with the distinctive name of "Batory of Blood."

"I am very pleased that young people engage in ancillary work, especially if they serve this unselfish form of assistance. I would like to thank all the students who have taken part in the cleaning work today and thus get our common goal ", Miroslav Bitarovský, a member of the Slovak Underground.

Underground corridors in Cachtice will be open to the public from April 23, 2016. Visitors can enjoy the many attractions and the mysterious atmosphere of the Cachy underground. Accessibility of public passages is expanding and attractive offer of tourism products in Čachtice and has the great potential to attract many tourists.
