On 26 and 27 March 2019, Chinese tour operators had the opportunity to discover the interesting locations and tourist attractions of the Trencin region, which annually reach high visitor numbers and often attract guests or visitors from different countries. Foreign experts of tourism appreciated the Trenčín Castle, Čachtice Underground, Spa Trenčianske Teplice as, as well as glass art in RONA as in Lednické Rovne.

The information trip was organized on the initiative of the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Shanghai. In addition to the Trencin region, Chinese travel agency representatives also recognized Bratislava and the Czech Republic.

Foreign guests were very interested in local culture and monuments

Every year foreign tourists come to the Trenčín region, who like to get to know the surroundings and do not save photographs and praise. Otherwise, it wasn't even for Chinese tour operators. Significant travel agencies were represented, including those with international character, many years of experience, exceptional awards or "one of the best travel agencies in China".

“The Trencin region attracted also our guests from China. Given that they are tour operators who have the opportunity to attract compatriots for a trip or vacation to the Trenčín Region, we have made sure that the program was both varied and interesting. We were sincerely pleased with their interest, which was evident in view of their many detailed questions, ” said Eva Frývaldská, Executive Director of KOCR Trenčín.

A program full of getting to know and relaxing

Information tour of tour operators in the region of Trenčín started in the glassworks RONA, as in Lednické Rovne, where, accompanied by production and technical director Petr Vrábl, they attended a factory tour and a demonstration of the process of manual and machine glass production. Subsequently, they moved to Trenčianske Teplice, where the executive director of the regional tourism organization, Trenčianske Teplice, Silvia Havelková, waited. This was followed by a tour of the local spa, accompanied by the sales director of Trenčianske Teplice Spa, Andrej Pucek. As part of the tour, the spa facilities, Crimea Spa House and Hammam Turkish Bath were viewed. On the first day, the program was completed with a tour of the Lanius home brewery, where, as the only one of Trenčín's breweries, this hop drink is brewed directly.

The second day of the information trip started at the Trenčín Castle, which offered not only a unique view and the possibility of creating great photos, but also a rich history with several legends. Followed by Cachtice underground, as the last point of the sightseeing program, whose underground corridors without hesitation examined all participants.

The regional tourism organization Trencin region believes that thanks to the infocenter, representatives of Chinese travel agencies have become more familiar with the tourist opportunities of the Trencin region and will include the most interesting locations in the offer of their travel agencies and thus increase the interest of Chinese tourists in the Trencin region.
