During the Gala Evening 2019 gala evening, 36 individuals and groups in 11 categories received awards at the Cultural and Social Center in Prievidza. It was the twentieth jubilee awarding of institutions, groups and individuals operating in the field of culture in Upper Nitra.

The award of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region (TSK) for special contribution to the development of the culture of the Upper Nitra region was won by 4 groups . Folklore group Hájiček Chrenovec - Brusno, Folklore group Košarinka from Temeš, Folklore ensemble Vtáčnik Prievidza and Folklore ensemble Jánošik Senior from Partizánske. "The award-winning ensembles and groups do everything to preserve folklore traditions in the Upper Nitra region for future generations. I am very happy that they work with young people who take over the so-called scepter. They do their work with love and from the heart, each of their performances is unique. I thank them for the way they can entertain people. I am really proud of them, " said Jaroslav Baška, the mayor of Trenčín, who personally handed over the award to the team and thanked him.

The event has traditionally been prepared by organizations under the founding authority of Trenčín County, namely the Regional Cultural Center in Prievidza, the Upper Nitra Museum in Prievidza and the Upper Nitra Library in Prievidza, together with others.
