On February 13, 2019, the Vlastivedné Museum in Považská Bystrica, in the founding area of the Trenčín Self-Governing Region, opened an exhibition titled "Reviving the Castles".

The exhibition, which was first presented in Bratislava in 2018, was created on the initiative of the Zsráňme casty association . Exhibitor curator Mgr. Jozef Mihálik, Chairman of the Friends of the Friends of the Hričov Castle, enriched the screen banner section on interesting three-dimensional objects and castle models. The theme of the "Resurrection of Castles" exhibition deals with the sacrificing work of the civic associations and many volunteers, whose castles have grown to the heart, and so the saving of precious castles has become their life's mission . More than 15 years of local initiatives have led to the unprecedented development of tourism and local tourism.

Visitors to the exhibition can see authentic archeological artifacts from the castles of Blatnica, Sklabiňa, Lietava, Hričov, Bystrica and Lednica . They will take on various tools from time to time, containers, coins, fragments of medieval architecture, and human skulls will also be exposed. Three-dimensional objects will be complemented by a reconstruction model of Tematín Castle and a computer visualization of Hričov Castle. The exhibits were borrowed from several Slovak museums (Trenčín, Žilina, Martin), civic associations and private collectors.

The exhibition is suitable for all age groups, serving as a non-formal education for subjects such as homeland, history and regional education. For organized groups, a lecture and lecture presentation on the renovation of castle ruins is prepared. On the occasion of the exhibition, the museum also produced a new souvenir - a thematic magnet.

The exhibition at the premises of the Vlastivedný Museum in Považská Bystrica will last until 30 June 2019 and is open on working days from 7.00 to 15.00, the last entry being 14.30.
