On Monday, February 13, with the tapping of the foundation stone, work on the more than 10 km long section of the Vážská cycle highway in the Považskobystrica district will officially begin. It will connect the Trenčín and Žilina self-governing regions, which testifies to its supra-regional importance.

The ceremonial knocking of the foundation stone of the building will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the county Secondary Vocational School of Mechanical Engineering in Považská Bystrica. The characteristic features of the new section of the Váž cycle highway will be a 100 m steel footbridge that will ensure the connection of the cycle route to the Orlovský most and a 31 meter long underpass leading under road II/507.

The construction will also be carried out thanks to an approved non-refundable financial contribution from the Integrated Regional Operational Program.
