The Trenčian Region, which is becoming more and more green, has prepared an interesting competition for all cyclists. Its main role is played by a 100 km long cycle route, which was started by Trenčiansky samosprávny kraj this year. The attraction of participation in the competition is a valuable and attractive prize for the winner - a new mountain bike.

The Sága cycle path, which will reach 100 km after the complete construction, will lead across the Trenčín self-governing region after the protective dams of the old Váh river. Cyclists can safely get from the border with Žilina to the border with the Trnava self-governing region. It will become an adequate alternative to transport to work and will expand the possibilities of active leisure time in the region.

Trenčiansky samosprávny kraj (TSK) is actively working to ensure that the cycle trail gets real contours in the shortest possible time. Shortly after the signing of the contracts for the construction of the first and second parts of the cycle route (the border with the Trnava self-governing region - Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Púchov - Nosická priehrada), the county approached the construction of the historically first kilometers of a unique bike trail. But there is one important and important thing, namely the name of the cycle path . The Trenčín Autonomous Region has decided to involve the general public in this process, which can send its proposals for naming the new cycle route from Wednesday, 22 November 2017 until Tuesday 22 May 2018 .

As they say, imagination does not limit the limits and be creative to pay off. In the TSK competition, the winning designer is prepared for a really attractive price, which is nothing but a brand new mountain bike . Authors of competing names placed in 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded with practical cycling equipment. The public will decide on the name of the bicycle route itself, which will choose the best among the submitted proposals. Voting will take place at TSK's web site from May 23, 2018 to June 15, 2018.

All competition entries entered into the competition must comply with the conditions stated in the statute published at TSK's website www.tsk.sk. In order for the important bicycle artery of the region to which many cyclists are already enjoying, it has got a dignified name; the competition proposals must correspond thematically to the Trenčín region (its natural wealth, cultural and historical monuments, important personalities, tourism, etc.).

Together with the proposal, a brief explanation of the proposed name of the bike path, the name and surname of the competitor and his contact details (address, telephone number, e-mail) must be provided. In case of a person under the age of 18, contact with the legal representative is required. We are pleased with the contestants and we are already looking forward to all original designs.
