Undoubtedly, the Dubník recreational zone is one of the most popular places in the Old Turian region. It is about two kilometers away from the city and a new oak alley will take you to it. However, if you want to get to know another interesting corner, continue on your way to the slope above the reservoir. You will get to the gate where the secret meetings of the Štúrovo family used to take place.

"Štúrova skala is a natural formation that once stood on a slope above the Dubník I reservoir.

The name of the rock was lent by one of our most famous personalities - Ľudovít Štúr. And it's not just a coincidence. In the revolutionary years 1848 - 1849, this was supposed to be the place of secret meetings of Ľudovít Štúr, who was hiding from the Hungarian authorities, and the local evangelical pastor Ján Trokan. These events are currently commemorated by a memorial plaque that is attached to the rock.

Štúrova skala is a popular resting place, while climbing the hill is not difficult. You can get to it from Kostolný, Hrašné and from Stará Turá. In addition, Bralo is also used by climbers, to whom it offers great training terrain.
