From Friday 1 February 2019 throughout the whole month, the public can recognize the personality and life story of one of the co-founders of the First Czechoslovak Republic thanks to the unique exhibition by General Štefánik.

A unique exhibition dedicated to the life of General MR Štefánik was made available in the entrance areas of the Trenčín County on Friday February 1st . The opening of the exhibition bringing a new look at Štefánikov's life and story opened the Trencian bathrobe Jaroslav Baška. "The General Štefánik exhibition is just one of the activities that will be celebrated in the year 2019 when we commemorate the 100th anniversary of his death, organized in the Trenčín Region. I would therefore like to thank all of the organizers of the exhibition, which brings to life the very generous and active life of General Štefánik. I am glad that this year's anniversary celebration of the death of General Štefánik, a native of our region, will end at the beginning of May in the national memorial to MR Štefánik's Bradle, " Jaroslav Baška, chairman of Trenčiansky samosprávny kraj , said. The exhibition is one of the events of the county organizations on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the tragic and sudden death of Brigadier General of the Armed Forces of France, Milan Rastislav Štefánik, in Ivanka pri Dunaji.

The exhibition, which will be available to visitors and interested parties by the end of February , was created thanks to the cooperation of the Trenčín Museum in Trenčín with the MR Štefánik Foundation in Bratislava, the State Archives in Trenčín and the Crew Club in Trenčín. "We removed from the museum archive a few things that were not exposed for many years, such as a legionary uniform or a legionary weapon. The exhibition was born quite difficult, after Štefánik we kept very few things, there were only a few personal details that are found in the main state museums. Regional museums have a small number of subjects related to the life of Štefánik, so I am glad that we managed to bring together several subjects and we managed to bring information about this important figure to the region among the people ", explained Trenčín Museum in Trencin Peter Martinisko.

The exhibition consists not only of banners, but also of coins or bank payments depicting General Štefánik represents life politician, diplomat, military fighter and Brigadier General of the Armed Forces of France. Through the exhibition of exhibits, visitors have the opportunity to learn the legacy of the Slovak history, to expand their knowledge of it and to create a comprehensive view of this important personality of our history.
