Even in 2021, Trenčín Castle can be proud of exceeding the 100,000 visitor limit. This time, an unprecedented reward awaited the jubilee visitor - a balloon flight and a bottle of mead.

The visit of the castle in the regional city of Trenčín has been slowed down by a pandemic in the last two seasons, however, more than 100,000 tourists have found their way into its courtyard this year as well. The unique ones who crossed the 100,000 mark were Trenčanka Alica and her partner Vicente, who live in Spain. As jubilee visitors, they received a unique gift to enter the castle. "I was very pleased to win. I did not know about the competition, as we live in Spain and we came to Trenčín for the holidays. We wanted to see the castle and such a pleasant surprise awaited us," said Alica, a 100,000 visitor to Trenčín Castle.

"We are glad that despite two difficult seasons we managed to welcome a hundred thousand visitors to the castle again. This time we prepared a reward for him, a balloon flight around Trenčín, so he will see the castle not only from the interior but also from the sky," added the director of Trenčianske Museum in Trenčín Peter Martinisko.
