Horovce, a small village in the Trenčín region, can be proud of a great tourist attraction that has no parallel in Slovakia. On an area of 9.9 hectares, the unique Slovak national emblem is spread out, planted with a hundred types of trees. More than 62 thousand trees form an oversized symbol of Slovakia and can only be seen from a bird's eye view.
In order for pedestrians to enjoy this unique sight as well, a new educational hiking trail was created in its vicinity , which was ceremonially opened on September 10, 2023. Thanks to the information boards, visitors can learn about the circumstances and history of the creation of this unique project, as well as the fauna and flora found near him. 55,700 deciduous saplings and 7,000 conifer saplings were planted to create the national emblem from living trees, around which the educational trail passes. The Slovak emblem is on a plot of 9.9 hectares and its dimensions are 279 x 216 m.
The Slovak Tourists' Club of Horovce was responsible for the creation of the educational trail with financial support from the TSK's participatory community budget.
