Also this year, from 24 to 26 May 2019, a festival was held for all lovers of BIKEFEST 2019 two-wheeled machines and adrenaline. The DEMA bike park in Kálnice welcomed hundreds of visitors and cycling enthusiasts of all ages. Professional racers, enthusiasts, hobby racers and the little ones in the children's categories had the opportunity to meet on the tracks. Cyclists came not only to compete from Slovakia, but also from the surrounding countries.

The 9th year was held in an energetic spirit with favorable weather and high attendance. Cyclists had the opportunity to see more than 400 test bikes, 50 exhibitors and 11 competition disciplines, in which competitors could test their abilities and skills. Disciplines such as Enduro, XC Eliminator, Pumptrack, XC Výšľap, Airbag, Slopestyle, Downhill, Dual Slalom and Marathon took place in several categories during the May weekend. The youngest cyclists competed in cycling in the Intersport Children's Zone.

The spectator magnet did not disappoint

The Garmin Slopestyle FMB World Tour took place as part of the festival this year as well, as part of the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour with bronze status. The nerve-wracking pieces were performed by experienced competitors, for which they earned not only respect from the visitors, but also enthusiastic applause lasting throughout the program.

Thanks to the great feedback from visitors, this festival is an exceptional experience: " We are very happy that since the establishment of our organization, we have been participating in the BIKEFEST event in Kálnice as an exhibitor that promotes the Trenčín region. The energy of the visitors is incredible, everyone comes in a friendly mood and they always enjoy a new cycling map, which they can take for free at our stand, ” said Eva Frývaldská , Executive Director of KOCR Trenčín Region.

Visitors had the opportunity to have fun not only watching adrenaline rushes on the bike, but also through live music, various accompanying activities and competitions. A rich variety of stalls with refreshments ensured a quality gastronomic experience, which only enhanced the overall pleasant feeling from the BIKEFEST 2019 festival.
