The Trenčín Region can again praise another NAO. The prestigious National Geographic magazine, known for its tourist recommendations, has compiled an interesting ladder. This time, he created a list of the 10 most beautiful chateaux in Europe and there is not even ours!

Bojnice Castle, one of the domination of the Trenčian region, also enchanted the author of the famous travel magazine National Geographic. Besides the fact that our most romantic castle has ranked among the most remarkable in Europe, it also labeled it as a perfect place for dreaming. She highlighted not only the fairytale appearance of the castle, its history, but also the most popular events that make the castle unique. National Geographic has appreciated original events such as night candle marches and the International Spirit and Ghosts Festival, which takes place annually in the castle's premises.

Currently, one of the most visited castles, which annually visits more than 200,000 visitors, was originally only a wooden structure built in the 12th century. The current romantic appearance was not achieved until the 19th century. At that time his last owner, Count Ján František Pálfi, decided to rebuild the French castle from the Loire Valley. The Count Pálfi did not live up to the completion of the reconstruction, but left behind a collection of rare paintings that are still exhibited in the castle and are part of the Slovak National Museum. " We are highly valued and will continue to participate in the Bojnice Chateau among the top 10 European castles and chateaus, and we will continue to participate in our work on the dignified representation of Slovakia and its cultural heritage," said Kamila Píšová, Head of Marketing Department at Bojnice Chateau.
