Traditions unite us

Slovaks and Czechs are united by traditions and crafts. You will be convinced of this on Friday spent at the Trenčín Castle, where these two brotherly nations will meet for a joint event.

Visitors can enjoy craft beer tastings, interesting lectures and a rich program for both young and old. At the same time, the event dedicated to crafts "Crafts connect us" will take place in the southern fortifications of Trenčín Castle, during which visitors will have the opportunity to see a wide range of traditional crafts from Slovakia and Bohemia. Traditional artisans will demonstrate the art of tinsmithing, woodcarving, shepherd's whip production, blacksmithing, hand sewing children's toys and home textiles, basket making, spinning on a spinning wheel and canvas weaving, fine lace making, making homemade syrups and juices, vinegars, oils, candles, Easter and much more. During the entire duration, there will be sports and creative attractions for children, face painting, a bubble show and a bubble workshop, competitions, animations, a stilt walker and a period herald, as well as a wooden carousel that will delight every child.

Both events are free and will take place in the southern fortifications of the castle and the Cherry Orchard.
