The 2nd Beerfest took place at the Expo Center Trenčín on September 20 and 21, 2019. Beer gourmets had the opportunity to choose from 120 beers from 30 breweries and listen to 12 musical performances. In addition to a legend such as Peter Nagy, visitors also enjoyed other energetic bands and a rich accompanying program.

The regional tourism organization (KOCR) Trenčín region was also represented at the festival, which presented attractions, historical landmarks and natural resources of the Trenčín region. "Beerfest is an ideal opportunity to present the beauties of our region not only to those who live around the corner, but also to those who came from other places. In addition to the well-being of the rich cultural program, they were able to find out what can be visited, discovered and experienced in our country, " explained Eva Frývaldská, Executive Director of KOCR Trenčín Region,.

There were several attractions at this year's festival focused on beers and beer specialties. In addition to a wide range of hop juice choices, the public had the opportunity to take part in several accompanying activities. Football lovers had the opportunity to compete in Antonín Panenka's Trenčín penalty and win an incredible € 2,000 for first place.

Music sparked the fun

It's no secret that the fun of festivals can best be stimulated by the right choice of music bands or performers. In this case, the same was true. On Friday, Peter Nagy attracted all the age categories to the main stage, who sang his greatest hits with him.

Saturday belonged to the music greats of the Slovak scene - Vrbov winners, Free Europe and Chiki-liki tu-a . However, a total of 12 musicians and bands could be heard singing their own songs, as well as those notoriously world-famous.

In addition to the busy music program, visitors had the opportunity to see the strongest men in Europe, who competed for the trophy - the sword of Matúš Čák Trenčiansky. Power competitions continued for all visitors, who could test their skills in pushing hands, carrying 50 liter beer kegs on time or under pressure on a bench. However, there was also a beer souvenir exchange.

The 2nd year of the festival, which is a celebration of beer, enjoyed a rich attendance of various age categories. They noticed in a noticeable mood, hoping that this event would become an annual tradition.
