On Sunday, April 24, 2022, during the Open Day, new model additions will be presented in the Park of Miniatures, which were created during last winter and spring of this year. They consist of 6 models with serial numbers 85 - 90, which will be located in the exhibition of tourist cottages and lookout towers.

The models of the buildings that are already part of the exhibition (two versions of Holuby's cottage in Veľká Javorina from 1924 and 1929, the former cottage in Klepáč nad Trenčianskymi Teplice and Baroš's shelter in Chmeľová in Vršatka) are and have been added in our immediate vicinity. the first version and the predecessor of the tourist Chata pod Inovcom, built by tourists in 1936 (it will be the 90th anniversary model). This cottage stood until 1944, when it was burned down. It was a picturesque wooden building built on a stone foundation. The second cottage from our nearby area is the little-known Útulňa near the village of Jalšové. It was built in 1938, damaged during the war and disappeared only after 1989.

The next 4 new models will enrich the set of existing buildings from the High Tatras. The exhibited 3 models (two versions of Rainer's cottage, the former cottage at Slavkovské plesy) will be complemented by models of two stone versions of Chata pod Rysmi. The first depicts the first cottage from 1935, the second its extension after 1977, when it received an upper floor. This cottage was destroyed by avalanches in 2000 and 2001, after which the question of building a new cottage in its current form arose. The third is the now non-existent and lesser-known Votrub cottage, which was built under Predný Kopský sedlo on the border of the High and Belianske Tatras. It consisted of a picturesque wooden building, popular with tourists. The cottage was dismantled in 1942 after the construction of the nearby Kežmarok cottage. A completely different barrel is the model of the first Zbojnícka chalet in the form around 1910. This uncomfortable and damp stone building protected tourists from bad weather, but spending the night in it was probably a real suffering at the time. It was not for nothing that the morgue also called it at that time, or a place suitable only as a shelter for bandits. It then got its name - Zbojnícka chata.

"All models of tourist cottages are and were built in a scale of 1:40. The 91st model in the Park of Miniatures, which we are now working on, will be Fanny Hütte, the predecessor of Chata na Inovci. It was built in 1921. will complement a set of tourist cottages from our immediate vicinity ", specified Mr. Juraj Hlatký, owner and founder of the Park of Miniatures in Podolí.
