What does the title of European Capital of Culture bring?

You may have already captured the great information that the whole of Trenčín currently lives in - that this city has advanced to the finals of the competition for the title of European Capital of Culture 2026 in Slovakia. If you want to learn more about this topic and the competition and are interested in more details, take part in an online discussion with the project managers of the three Slovak cities that have advanced to the finals of this competition.

What specific benefits for the cultural public, cultural actors operating in the so-called non-established (independent) culture and in established culture do the projects of Nitra, Trenčín and Žilina bring? Despite the competitive framework for applying for the title, is there potential for subsequent cooperation between today's competing cities?
