All admirers and collectors of toy cars, lovers of veterans and car racers beware!
From October 1, 2020, the barracks at Trenčín Castle will be transformed into a planet of pedal cars - perfect miniatures of rare or legendary retro cars.
The collection fleet consists of 57 unique pedal cars. The models come from Italy, Germany, Russia, France, Great Britain and many other European countries.
The unusual adventure exhibition of pedal cars called "By car around the world" offers the opportunity to get to know the world in which time has stopped. It is intended for children's visitors, but also for those born earlier. The retro section will enliven many memories of the legendary treadmill Moskvich, which a few decades ago "parked" in many households in Slovakia. You will also find uncovered carts here.
Among the exhibits, the popular VW Chrobák, Citroen 2CV, Fiat 500, sports cars, as well as a pedal horse or Cyclo Rameur - a hand-powered tricycle from France - will undoubtedly be interesting.
Extremely popular and rare Formula 1 cars from leading brands such as Giordani, Gimca, Pines, Morrelet Guerineau, Rosca or ToysToys will also not be admired.
The exhibition will also be enriched by rare and collector's extremely popular Bugatti cars from the 1930s.
The exhibition of pedal cars is presented at Trenčín Castle through the collection of historical pedal cars "PEDAL PLANET". It is one of the largest private collections in Europe. It consists of more than 500 exhibits of various pedal boats - from cars to motorcycles, horses, airplanes, rockets to machines such as an excavator, crane or tractor.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 1 October 2020 to 2 February 2021, every day from 9.00 am to 6.45 pm.
Admission is within the castle circuits.
