In the premises of the Brno Exhibition Center, the next edition of the International Tourism Fair - Regiontour 2017 was held on 19-22 January 2017. The region of Trenčín Region (KOCR) again attracted the attractiveness of the Trenčín Region (TSK) again in the year.

The traditional fair focused on the overview of tourist opportunities at the regional level presented a rich offer of tourism in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Over the course of four days, approximately 800 exhibitors from 26 different countries were presented in the showrooms. More than 30,000 visitors - tourism experts, government and local authorities as well as end consumers - have taken the opportunity to draw inspiration from tourism.

The tourist potential of the Trenčín region has brought KOCR Trenčín closer to the region in the exhibition stand of the partner regions of the South Moravian Region (JMK). Visitors have visited the most interesting tourist sites, cultural monuments or the possibility of relaxing in the spa. The rich offer of the region was complemented by the promotional materials of the TSK's constituent organizations and private providers of tourism services. In 2017, representatives of Lower Austria, the Lodz Province, the Leningrad Region, the Zadar County, the Bjelovarsko-Bilogor County, the Kaunas Region, the Sumadiy Circle, and the Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China received an invitation from the JMK in addition to the Trenčín Region.

The symbolic stripping of the band was made by important guests such as the Minister for Regional Development of the Czech Republic, Karl Šlechtová, the Director of Trade Fairs Brno, Jiri Kuliš, and Bohumil Šimek, the head of the South Moravian Region, opening the gates of another successful Regiontour. "The fair is also about meetings, the exchange of experiences and new ideas. I am convinced that the people we invite to our region have something to offer and our efforts will continue to support tourism as much as possible, " said Bohumil Simek at the opening of South Moravian exhibition.

In addition to presenting the beauties of individual regions, domestic and foreign tourism products, demonstrations of folk crafts or specialty tastings, the fairs offered the opportunity for important meetings and concluding new partnership agreements. This opportunity was also used by the president of the regional tourism organization Trenčín Juraj Gerlici, who, during a meeting with the new governor of the South Moravian Region, discussed the direction of mutual cooperation in the field of tourism. "The Trenčín Autonomous Region signed the Cooperation Agreement with the South Moravian Region two years ago. One of the main areas is the promotion of tourism and cross-border cooperation. I am delighted that the newly elected governor is keen to continue in a start-up cooperation that brings benefits to the people of both regions, " Gerlica said.

The main objective of the KOCR Trenčín Region at the Regional Tourism Tournament Regiontour 2017 in Brno was the presentation of the treasure treasures of the Trenčín Region . The representatives of the organization drew visitors to traditional and new tourism products, which have a significant potential to attract Czech tourists to the Trenčín region.
