It is voted on. The large reader survey on the Trenčín Region "Nearest Heart", prepared by the Regional Tourism Organization (KOCR) Trenčín Region in the period from January 3 to February 15, 2021 has its winners, but not the losers.

It turned out that every single nomination in the fifteen categories was justified and made sense. She contributed to an even better knowledge of the Trenčín region and at the same time confirmed that people understand tourism and are proud of its history, attractions and traditions. And they do not forget even during the pandemic, when many of the attractions are watched only online or from pictures.

The interest was great

A pleasant surprise was the resulting number of voters. A total of 1574 survey forms were completed. Readers of the newspaper could take part in the survey through a questionnaire, which had to be sent by post after completion (634) or visitors to the website www.trencinregion.sk, where the survey was made available in electronic form (940). The vast majority of voters chose their favorite in each of the 15 categories. But there were also those who filled in only the "closest to the heart" category, so they went about it selectively. The fact that the participants in the survey are "at home" in tourism is confirmed by the fact that up to 32% of them added their own to the five set nominations in one of the categories.

The closest to the heart is the spa. Which ones?

And who became the absolute winner of the "Heart Closest" poll? It was the nomination that received the largest number of votes among all nominations in all categories. The most famous, most frequented and most sought-after brand of tourism in the Trenčín Region became the Trenčianske Teplice Spa with 679 votes in front of Trenčín Castle with 628 votes and the Trenčín - Nemšová cycle route with 551 votes. The absolute ranking of the TOP5 "Nearest to the Heart" is as follows:

"Very positive. The interest in the survey exceeded all our expectations. The sample of more than 1500 respondents and the results of the survey are binding for us, and at the same time inspiring for further work and projects. In addition, we received a number of observations and suggestions from voters. I am glad that the people in our region, despite the difficult pandemic time and the related restrictions, have landed on this form of communication. I am pleasantly surprised how detailed they know their region and they enthusiastically discover new nooks and crannies.
