SPORT AND RELAX

The ski resort Čertov Javorníky is situated at the end of the village Lazy - Čertov, located in the Javorníky Mountains, in the Kysuce Protected Landscape Area on the Slovak - Moravian border. At the altitude of 600 - 900m above sea level there are seven ski slopes suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. The resort is divided into two sites. The lower Krivá area offers two blue slopes for beginners. In the above-mentioned "Lamme / Balouchovce" area there are five ski slopes that attract intermediate and advanced skiers with their difficulty. We recommend the "racecourse" slope, with an elevation of 290m. The total length of the tracks is 5.4km, each of 1,800, 1,000, 800, 700, 580, 300 and 250 meters. The main ski slope "Lamze" is illuminated and technically snowy, skiing on other ski slopes on natural snow.

You can have a refreshment directly at the pickup station in the "Devil" Buffet. The resort features ski equipment rental, skiservis and Skippy Club ski school. For cross-country skiers, 15 km of cross-country ski runs are maintained within the resort. Directly under the ski slopes there is a cottage that will make you feel relaxed by the warmth of the fireplace, the sauna or the fresh grog. In the restaurant your taste buds will satisfy the traditional food of our grandmother's Slovak cuisine. If you prefer to go on a skiing trip before "running", do not hesitate and take a hike to Čertov or Kohútk. A number of hiking trails lead to the most beautiful places of Javornik and your efforts will be gifted with stunning views of the surroundings.

DEDINÓČKA MOJA FODNÁ

In the late October night of the year 1944, partisans fled to the homes of the frightened Mladonians. They asked for food and bed. Rather than fear of heroism, the local people accepted it. Those partisans were probably sad.

In the early morning, the Germans crashed through the valley. These Germans were about a hundred. The shot fell.

The partisans rushed. They ran into the mountains. They escaped and left behind tracks - a radio, a gun, a rifle. Those traces were the words of death. The deaths of sixteen innocent young people. Their bodies lie in the cemetery at the church. This place shows the sickened soul more than the Monument of the Fallen in Mladoň.
