Centuries-old harmony between thermal springs and nature is a balm for a tired body and soul alike. In the Upper Nitra Basin, protected by mountains with rich deciduous and coniferous forests on the eastern foothills of Malá Magura, the nature has created favorable climatic conditions for a spat treatment.          

Description   

Treatment procedures in Spa Bojnice are based on natural healing hydrogen-carbon-sulphate and calcic-magnesium hypotonic healing water with a temperature of 28-52 °C. The healing water of nine springs with a yield of 40 l/ s from sprining from within the depth of 1,200-1,500 m improves metabolism and strengthens immune system, cell functioning, oxygen supply and thus improves the overall condition of the body. Bojnice’s healing water has positive effects on the autonomic nervous system.        

INDICATION  

The first written record about the Bojnice thermal springs has survived in the document of King Koloman from 1113. Thermal springs are described as fons fervidus (hot fountain). Already at that time springs were used for treating various diseases. In present, the spa treats musculoskeletal diseases, neurological diseases, gynecological diseases, kidney and urinary tract diseases and occupational diseases.       

RECOMMENDATION

A pleasant atmosphere of spa parks outside the city noise creates an optimal environment for treating various diseases and contributes to physical and mental relaxation and well-being. Besides spa treatments visitors and guests can enjoy relaxation in the winter garden, savour a cup of fragrant coffee or a piece of cake in a café or on the terrace directly in the spa area. Visitors can also enjoy concerts, folklore performances and dance parties. If all of the above is not enough, visitors can visit the thermal swimming pool Čajka in the near vicinity, the most beautiful castle in Slovakia or the oldest zoo in Slovakia.
